OWENSBORO, Ky. - Linda Dianne Buehrle, 67, of Owensboro, Ky reached out for Jesus' hand and together walked into Heaven on February 17, 2014 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona. She was born December 2, 1946 in Owensboro, KY. She was a 1964 graduate of Owensboro High School, received her BS degree in elementary education from Ky Wesleyan College in 1968 and MS degree from Indiana University. She and her husband, Jim, lived in Dayton, Ohio but loved their winter home in Arizona. She retired after 36 years of teaching, spending the first ten years teaching in Indianapolis and the next twenty-six years teaching fifth grade at Normandy Elementary in Dayton, OH. All her students loved her and returned often to visit with her and to tell her she was their favorite teacher. She was of the Baptist faith. Dianne enjoyed playing golf, travelling and playing piano with her grandchildren and was an avid reader, reading three to four books each week. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack LaRue Moseley; an aunt, Dorothy Bowman Ely; an uncle, Robert Johnson; and a nephew, Jack Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-eight years, Jim Beuhrle; a daughter, Nikki Marie Huth (Ryan) of Independence, KY; two granddaughters, Lexi and Zoey; her mother, Virginia J. Moseley; a sister, Sandra Shown (Jerry) of Owensboro; a nephew, Stephen Wilson (Dee) of Owensboro and an uncle James A. Johnson of Louisville, KY.
Services are 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday and after 12:00 noon on Sunday at the funeral home.
