Martine Crabtree Barnett, 87, of Sacramento, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Martine Crabtree Barnett, 87, of Sacramento, Ky passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun. Martine Helen Crabtree was born February 27, 1926 in Owensboro, Ky to the late Leslie and Anna Crabtree and was married to Roy Thomas Barnett. She and her husband owned and operated Barnett's IGA in Sacramento and was a member of the Towers Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and loved planting flowers and growing gardens. Martine had a natural green thumb. She was a good woman who will be truly missed. In addition to her parents, Martine was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Barnett, who passed away June 8, 1986; and by a son, James 'Jim' Barnett.

Survivors include two sons, Danny T. Barnett and Timothy W. Barnett; 5 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Hollowell officiating. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for the Barnett Family.

The Martine Crabtree Barnett requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Martine Crabtree Barnett, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 160; Calhoun, Ky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
