Mary Russell Poole Sinnett, 79, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Mary Russell Poole Sinnett, 79, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at her home with her family, after a long battle with her health. She attended Nickel Ridge Pentecost Church for many years, where she was the pastor's wife for many years. She loved Jesus, her church family and her family. She was employed by General Electric Company for nine years, before leaving to take care of her home and family. When she was able, she loved going to Rough River Lake and loved working with her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Hazel Poole; her husband of 58 years, The Reverend Wavie L. Sinnett; and an infant daughter, Lena Diane Sinnett.

She is survived by her children, Gary Sinnett (Linda), Rosa M. Sinnett and Mary E. Sinnett-Cline (Robby) all of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Chad Gray (Stacy), Aaron Sinnett, Phillip Sinnett, Krista Reynolds, Lydia Hobdy, Isaac Hobdy all of Owensboro; and four great grandchildren, Parker Gray, Jill Johnson, Rylie Gray, and Jacob Reynolds all of Owensboro; her sister, Emma Rosa Crowe (Donald) of Owensboro; a brother, O.C. Poole of Lewisport, Ky a brother-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Services are 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Nickel Ridge Cemetery in Daviess County, Ky. Visitation is from 1:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
