Reverend Johnnie B. Moore, Sr., 81, of Evansville, Indiana

OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Reverend Johnnie B. Moore, Sr., 81, of Evansville, Indiana passed away February 26, 2014 in Evansville. He was born on July 5, 1932 in Hopkins County, Ky to the late Archie and Grace Moore. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He became a Southern Baptist minister, serving in the religious ministry from 1970 until his death. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Moore.

He is survived by his present wife, Ruby Kay Moore; a son, Johnnie B. Moore, Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Gail Byrd; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and brothers, Archie Moore, Jr. and Tony Moss.

Services are 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, Ky. Burial is in South Hampton Baptist Church Cemetery in Daviess County, Ky. Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
