Faye Gray Renfrow, 68

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Faye Gray Renfrow, 68, began her journey to eternal peace on February 27, 2014. She was born December 2, 1945 in Masonville, to the late Mamie L. and Armel Gray. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Joey L.E. Brown, brothers Wilburn D. Gray, Barney Gray, Armel Gray Jr, James T. Gray, and a sister Anna L Nix.

Faye held cherished memories of her trips to the Florida beaches and always dreamed she would return with family/friends. She enjoyed NASCAR, writing letters, and long phone conversations with family & friends. She looked forward to spring to tend to her many flowering baskets and to feed the birds.

Faye was a friend to many of the neighborhood children and displayed their pictures, drawings and gifts proudly, giving them words of encouragement and self-worth, and offering an ear to listen. She found comfort in contributing to various charitable organizations in memory of a lost loved one.

Faye is survived by two daughters: Brenda F. Brown (Jerry) of Owensboro, and Barb L. Benson (Kent) of Philpot; two great- grandchildren: Dakota L. and Madyson T. Brown, two sisters: Dorothy Robinson of Hamlet, IN and Mary L. Finley of Owensboro; and several, much loved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be at 1PM on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Clear Run Baptist Church in Ohio County with Brother Byron Priar presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. At Faye’s request there will be no public visitation held.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Clear Run Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.

Condolences may be left at www.glennfuneralhome.com
