O.J. Sallee, 67, of Rumsey, Ky.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – O.J. Sallee, 67, of Rumsey, Ky., passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at his home. Orvel Junior Sallee was born March 29, 1947 in Daviess County, Ky. to the late Orvell, Sr., and Mildred Juanita McCarty Sallee. He was an auto mechanic and later retired from the Rogers Group. O.J. enjoyed hunting, fishing, and barbecuing with friends and family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Trixie Sallee; three brothers, Roger Dale Sallee, Steve Sallee, and Donald R. Freels.

Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Kappe, and Colleen Sallee both of Calhoun; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Mike "Red" Sallee of Calhoun; three sisters, Patty Mullens, Betty Chambers, and Peggy Tanner all of Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel, with the Rev. Harry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with O.J.'s family from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Sallee family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the O.J. Sallee, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P. O. Box 160; Calhoun, Ky. 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
