Henry T. Sonner, 79, of Island, Ky.

LIVERMORE, Ky. – Henry T. Sonner, 79, of Island, Ky., passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his home. Henry Thomas Sonner was born October 27, 1934 in Island, Ky. to the late Howell and Eura Nall Sonner and was married to the former Mary Gwen Shocklee on June 17, 1983. He was co-founder and owner of A & S Fabricating of Livermore and served as the company's President from the beginning in 1969 until his retirement in 1998. 2014 marks the 45th Anniversary of A & S Fabricating. Henry was a member of Worthington Chapel United Methodist Church, attended Livermore United Methodist Church, was a U.S. Marine Veteran, and a member of Island Lodge # 423 F. & A.M. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with both his family and friends, and traveling across the country, Canada, and Mexico in his RV after his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Coin.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Mary Sonner; three daughters, Venea Hounton and husband, Les, Sabrina Sonner and husband, Karl Davis, and Karen Whitaker and husband, Dennie all of Island; two step daughters, Kim Wood and husband, Rick of Smiths Grove and Sherry Hicks of Owensboro; seven grandchildren, Cristen Kemper and husband, Shawn, Rachel Street and husband, John, Whitney Parker and husband, Anthony, Katlyn Whitaker, Henry Lee Bidwell, Tyler Wood, and McKenna Wood; three great grandchildren, Kaiden Cordelle Kemper, Landon Wayne Parker, and Karlie Gail Kemper, who is due to arrive in November; and a brother, Don Sonner of Island.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jim White officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Henry's family from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday at Musters in Livermore.

The Henry T. Sonner family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Baptist Health Hospice; 418 Scott Street; Madisonville, Ky. 42431. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
