James David McManus, 45 of Henderson, KY

HENDERSON, Ky. - James David McManus, 45 of Henderson, KY passed away 8:06 AM Sunday May 19 at Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was born in Norfolk, VA to Marie Thompson Hayes. He was a hairdresser and former owner and operator of Waves Salon in Johnson City, TN. James enjoyed crafts and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his partner Rodney “Rod” Sellars of Henderson; Step-father: Robert “Bob” Hayes of Whitesburg, TN; 3 sisters: Celeste McGlothin, Georgia Brumit, Lynn Reichenbach all of St. Louis; 2 brothers: Donald “Donnie” McManus of Bristol, TN, Gerald Schultz of Johnson City, TN; Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM Thursday May 23 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Funeral service will be 6:30 PM Thursday May 23 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor Deborah McBride will officiate.

Graveside service and burial will be in Hamblen Memorial Gardens in Russellville, TN at 2:00 PM EST Friday.May 24th.
