Richard Berry, age 77, of Henderson, KY

3sunsetHENDERSON, Ky. - Richard Berry, age 77, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:25 am, Friday, July 12, 2013, at his home.

Richard was born November 25, 1935 in Union County to Edgar and Heddie Berry. He graduated from Spottsville High School in 1954. Soon after graduation he met the love of his life, Peggy, and three short years later married her in January of 1957.

He was owner of Richard Berry Pump and Supply and spent his entire working career in the oil business. Richard also filled his time with hobby farming until just recently. Mr. Berry was a long time member of Advance Baptist Church and spent the last 30 years as a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.

Richard was preceded by his parents Edgar and Heddie Berry.

Survivors include: Loving Wife: Peggy Griggs Berry Henderson, KY; 1 Daughter: Debbie Damrath and Fiancé Glenn Goldsberry Henderson, KY; 2 Brothers: Donald Berry and wife Joyce Henderson, KY, Houston Berry and wife Aloma Berry Macon, GA; Brother in Law: Truman Griggs Henderson, KY; Sister in Law: Jean McClure Henderson, KY; 3 Grandchildren: Dax, Dillon, and Paige Henderson, KY.
Special Niece: Gay Whitaker Henderson, KY

Relatives and friends are invited to Richard's Life Celebration from 3:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, July 14, 2013 and again on Monday starting at 11:00 until service time at Benton Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home with Brother Donald Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
