Paul Alan Smith, 57 of Henderson, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Paul Alan Smith, 57 of Henderson, Ky went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was born in Henderson on July 16, 1956. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Henderson and Memorial Tabernacle in Owensboro. He was employed as an independent contractor as a chemical broker. Paul graduated from Henderson County High School and Murray State University, was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He enjoyed constructing rockets, and was a movie and car enthusiast.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jones Smith in September, 2000.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Linda L. Wilson of Henderson, his father, Oscar T. Smith of Owensboro, a sister, Debra L. Smith of Henderson, a brother, Michael T. Smith of LaGrange, KY, a niece, Abbey Elizabeth Smith of LaGrange, many beloved Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Private burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Paul A. Smith Memorial Fund, 3009 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
