Jerry Wayne Keown, 62, of Henderson, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Jerry Wayne Keown, 62, of Henderson, Ky passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at his home. He was born January 15, 1951 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Leymon and Lena Barbee Keown. He was retired from K & M Roofing, was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved sports. Mr. Keown was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Carol Campbell Keown; two sons, William Keown of Baltimore, MD and Jerry Ray (Alexis) Keown of San Antonio, TX; twin granddaughters who were the light of his life, Emily and Rachel of San Antonio, TX; siblings, Glen Chafin of La Canada, CA, Norma K. Ewan of Owensboro, KY, Alberta McKinley of Des Moines, IA, Barbara Burdette of Louisville, KY, Donna F. Mitchell of Soldier, KS, Charles Keown of Reynolds Station, KY Larry Keown of Gatesville, TX and Gary Keown of Henderson, KY. and several nieces and nephews.

Aside from his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Helen Westerfield and two brothers, Truman Keown and Donald R. Keown.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Brother Larry Birkhead officiating and burial to follow in Lewisport Cemetery, Lewisport, KY.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
