J. T. 'Jay' Stone, 61 of Henderson, Ky

HENDERSON, Ky. -  J. T. 'Jay' Stone, 61 of Henderson, Ky passed away Wednesday January 22, 2014 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

He was born December 29, 1952 in Henderson, Ky to Arthur Winston and Evadean (Burklow) Stone. He had been a truck driver for Gibbs Die Casting and a member of Faithway Baptist Church in Corydon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jenny Stone and brother Larry Stone.

He is survived by his wife Margie (Hoggard) Stone; 4 children: Jama (Stone) Sutton and her husband Wayne of Webster Co., Jason Todd Stone and his wife Beth of Corydon, Paris Fowler of Henderson, Branden Wells and his wife Ashley of Henderson; 1 step-son: Billy Wells Jr. of Henderson; 1 step-daughter: Kelly Fowler of Henderson; 3 sisters: Wanda Sue White of Corydon, Anna Powell and her husband Robert of Corydon, Margaret Smith of Cairo; 2 brothers: Arthur Stone and his wife Janet of Henderson, David Stone, Jr. and his wife Grace of Henderson; Grandchildren: Alissa Stone, Olivia Stone, Kayla Brown, Kelci Sutton, Braxton Sutton; Step-grandson: Justin Sutton; Great-granddaughter: Jade Wells.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 25 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor Dwight Cox will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday 3:00 PM-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Faithway Baptist Church in Corydon.
