Elizabeth June Canady, 83, of Madisonville, KY

1cloudsHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Elizabeth June Canady, 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on June 4, 1930 in Wayne, WV to the late Hannah Adkins Napier and Dave Napier. She was a homemaker and had a loving devotion for her children and family. She was an active member of Daughters of the American Revolution Phillip Perry chapter and was also a member of Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Richard A. Canady; her sister, Ann Napier Townsend; her brothers, David H. Napier and Tom Napier.

She is survived by her sons, Rev. Joseph E. Christian of Madisonville and Rev. John F. Christian of Hampton, GA; her daughter, Joni L. Kelley of Cullman, AL; her sisters, Spicy Perdue of Kenova, WV and Corina Pennington of Bridgeton, NJ; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL with Rev. Joseph E. Christian and Rev. John Christian officiating. Burial to follow. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville.
