Mary Rash Smith, 83, of Mortons Gap, KY

1flowerHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Mary Rash Smith, 83, of Mortons Gap, KY, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Hillside Villa in Madisonville, KY.

She was born December 11, 1929 in Hopkins Co, KY to the late Dave Warrick Rash and Viola Witherspoon Rash. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bennie Rash, David Rash, and Lindell Rash; and one sister, Wilma Clements.

Mrs. Smith was a lifetime member of Mortons Gap Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, William Frank Smith; two daughters, Jane Smith of Dixon, KY, and Sonia Powell of Dixon; and one brother, Alan Rash of Mortons Gap; two sisters, Margaret Roberts of Madisonville and Lue Oglesby of Mortons Gap, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Jett officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2013 and after 11:00 A.M. until the service time on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be David Roberts, Michael Oglesby, Josh Green, Larry Wicks, Drew Isaacs, Mike Russell, Darvell Rash, and Eli Pendleton.
