HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Pearl I. (Jean) Thorp, age 82, of Madisonville, Ky. formerly of Ilsley, KY passed away on July 14, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Thorp was born on April 29, 1931 in Union County, KY to the late Harry & Mary Magdeline Howell Foe. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and was a member of Landmark Apostolic Church in Dawson Springs, KY.

Mrs. Thorp is survived by a daughter~ Connie Sue Barnett of Madisonville, KY; three sons ~ Ronald Thorp of Henderson, KY, David Thorp of Ilsely , KY and Timothy Oneal Thorp of Ilsley, KY; two sisters ~ Pat Shoulders of Henderson, KY & Helen Roberts of Detroit, MI; six brothers ~ Forrest Foe of Nortonville, KY, Billy Foe of Ringo, GA, Jamie Foe of Detroit, MI, Sammy Foe of Henderson, KY, Lurley Foe of Clay, KY & Glen Foe of Detroit, MI; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thorp is preceded in death by her husband Willard Oneal Thorp (departed 10/20/2005;) a son ~ John Edward Thorp; sisters ~ Rose Shoulders & Kay Foe; and brothers ~ Doug Foe & Larry Foe.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5:00 and 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 8:00 – 10 A.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Her funeral service will be at Beshear Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 conducted by Rev. Robert Akers. Burial will follow in Ilsley Cemetery in Ilsley, KY.
