Gladys Jewell Parker, 82, of Madisonville, KY formerly of Dawson Springs, KY

2doveHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Gladys Jewell Parker, 82, of Madisonville, KY formerly of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Baptist Health Madisonville, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 30, 1930 in Indian Mound, TN to the late Roy and Mary Moody. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was active within her family and hosted annual holiday celebrations at her home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Parker; children, Eva Kay, Roscoe, Tony and Hazel Parker; and her siblings, Beulah Bagwell and Coy Moody.

She is survived by her children, Charlie Parker of Dawson Springs, Inez White, David Parker both of Madisonville, Johnny Parker of Nortonville, Eyvone Buntin and Curtis Parker both of Madisonville; her grandchildren, Anita Downing, Jeff Parker, Larry Parker, Chris White, Misty Thomison, Matthew Parker, Amanda Parker, Seth Parker, Jennifer Caskey, Rachael Killough, Brandi-Renee Gudwein and Jacob Parker; twenty-two great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Andy Corbin officiating. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.
