Virginia Dorothy Davison, age 86, of Mayfield, Ky

1doveHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Virginia Dorothy Davison, age 86, of Mayfield, Ky formerly of Madisonville and Dawson Springs, KY passed away on July 20, 2013 at Heritage Manor in Mayfield, KY. Mrs. Davison was born on March 23, 1927 in Cape Girardeau, MO to the late Willard Austin and Cellia Francis Austin. She was a co-owner of the “House of Dav-Ren” in Madisonville, KY. Previously, she was a writer for the Society Page of the Madisonville Messenger for many years and she managed “The Davis Shop”. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Madisonville, KY.

Mrs. Davison is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law~ Sally (Pat) Scott of Murray, KY, and Beth (Scott) Dillingham of Dawson Springs, KY; a son and daughter-in-law ~ John (Lorna) Davison of Homosassa, FL; a sister ~ Mary Thompkins of Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren~ Derek Davison, Mary Beth Buck, Amy Mills, Jennifer Bennett, Mandi May and Robert Dillingham and three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davison is preceded in death by her husband~ Robert H. Davison; a grandson~ Ian Davison; four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. until the Memorial Service time of 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Her Memorial Service will be conducted by Rev. Gary Vacca at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with burial at the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.
