HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Joyce Willodean Crick Cavanaugh, 84 of Madisonville, Ky formerly of Nortonville passed away Friday September 13th at Oak Ridge Retirement Center, Madisonville, surrounded by her family. She was born in Hopkins Co. on October 9th, 1928 to the late Luther Hall and the late Charlotta (Fletcher) Crick. She loved spending time with her family and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Madisonville.
She is survived by three daughters, Glenda (Dan) Dokupil of Lake Malone, Teresa (Bill) Pierce of Sturgis, and Wilma (Robert Earl) Dugger of Madisonville; four sons, Bruce (Sharon) Cavanaugh, Jr. of Nortonville, Jeffery (Mary) Cavanaugh of Madisonville, Clayton Cavanaugh of Hanson, and Durwood (Cylinda) Cavanaugh of Nortonville; step-sister, Inez Phelps of Madisonville, and brother-in-law, Bill Kelish of Hanson; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her Husband, Bruce Cavanaugh, Sr., step mother, Lola Crick, brothers, L.H. Crick and Bobby Durwood Keller, and sister, Louise Kelish.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Bandy Funeral Home with Bro. David Edmonson officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm and Wednesday from 9am-11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Nortonville. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children.s Hospital in Mrs. Cavanaugh’s name.
