Janie L. Newman, 90, formerly of Nortonville

NORTONVILLE, KY - Janie L. Newman, 90, formerly of Nortonville died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Kindred Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Muhlenberg County, was a housewife and homemaker, and was a member of Nortonville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley G. Newman, her parents, Bud & Ethel Bowling, her sister, Geneva Bowling, and her brothers, C. A. Bowling and Benjamin Bowling.

Survivors include a brother, John L. (Beatrice) Bowling, Sr. of Tomah, WI, a sister, Dora (Hugh) Newman of Jackson, MS, a sister-in-law, Cynthia Elizabeth Epley of Louisville, KY, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Cypress Cemetery. Online condolences to the family can be made at www.garysfuneralhome.net
