Bonnell Capps Crabtree, 91, of Madisonville, Ky

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Bonnell Capps Crabtree, 91, of Madisonville, Ky passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.

She was born August 29, 1922 to the late J.E. Capps and Laura Pearl Thomas Capps. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Crabtree in 2011.

She worked as a teacher in Hopkins County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville and their Upper Room Sunday school class.

She is survived by three sons, Douglas (Delores) Crabtree of Madisonville, Tommy (Darlene) Crabtree of Hanson, Ky and John (Trisha) Crabtree of Madisonville; one sister, Rebecca Capps (Max) Clayton of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Marc Crabtree, Eric Crabtree, Kristin Hall, and Seth Crabtree; and two great grandchildren, Matthew and Emma Crabtree.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Dr. Don Davis and Rev. Dale Carden officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from noon until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Madisonville, or Ky United Methodist Home for Children care of First Methodist Church. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
