Ula 'Dean' (Tyson) Scott, 80 of Slaughters, Ky

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Ula 'Dean' (Tyson) Scott, 80 of Slaughters, Ky passed away Tuesday, December 10, at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.

She was born Feb. 23, 1933 to Cellous and Ruth Tyson. She was a member of Mount Gilead General Baptist Church. She retired from York International in Madisonville and had worked at General Electric in Owensboro. She attended Providence Rural United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Anna Frasier and a brother in law, J.W. Pool Dean is survived by her husband Harlin Scott, Jr.; 2 stepchildren, Harlin D. (Mona) Scott of Slaughters, Ky. and Robin (Randy) Locke of Dawson Springs, Ky; 3 sisters Jerri (Ligget) Cothran of TN, Sue (Alvin) Prow of Indiana and Delois Pool of Hanson; 1 brother Carroll (Lola Mae) Tyson of Hanson; 2 grandchildren Heather (Stephen) Smith and Jon (Lyndsey Burton) Scott. She had several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Slaughters-Hanson Chapel and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Funeral Service will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Brother Harry Baldwin will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery.
