William M. McGregor, 62, of Madisonville, Ky

IM000005485MADISONVILLE, Ky (3/4/14) — William Michael McGregor, 62 of Madisonville, KY, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.

He was born March 17, 1951 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late William Harold McGregor and Cozie Littlepage McGregor of Morton’s Gap, KY

Mr. McGregor was a member of the Western Kentucky Mining Association, the Kentucky Mining Association. He enjoyed spoiling his dog Ellie, UK Basketball, Nascar and backyard BBQ’s.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lynn Druley McGregor; one daughter, Abby (Paul) Mullen of Calhoun, KY; three, brothers, Terry (Shannon) McGregor of Morton’s Gap, Tim McGregor of Madisonville, and Jeff McGregor of Morton’s Gap; a granddaughter, Alexandra Mullen of Calhoun.   

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Jack Whitfield and Grover Fishback officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Paul Mullen, Grover Fishback, Dennis Oliver, Mike Clayton, Chris Williams and Steve Whitledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Druley, Jay Druley, Jack Whitfield, Terry McGregor, Tim McGregor, Jeff McGregor and Candy Druley.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mahr Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
