Russ Duane Randall, age 67, of Gilbertsville, KY

obit20BENTON, Ky. - Russ Duane Randall, age 67, of Gilbertsville, KY, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013, at his residence in Gilbertsville, KY. Mr. Randall was the owner/broker of Park Ave. Realty. He was a member of Pathway Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, he served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, he was the former 1st District Chairman of the Republican Party, and was the chairman of the Marshall Co. Republican Party.

He was the son of the late Clarence Randall and the late Daisy E. (Moris) Randall.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Randall of Gilbertsville, KY; one daughter: Beth Smothers and husband J.D. of Oblong, IL; one son: Kent Randall and wife Trisha of Riverview, Fl; one sister: Lori Carlson of Robinson, IL; one brother: Rodger Randall of Papillion, NE; and three grandchildren: Connor Smothers, Jake Smothers, and Andree Randall.

Arrangements are being handled by the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Pathway Baptist Church in Calvert City, KY. Funeral service will be held at Pathway Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 20, 2013, with Rev. Mike Donald officiating.

The family asks that contributions be made to the Pathway Baptist Church Building Fund or to the KY Boys and Girls Sheriff Ranch Renovation Fund. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
