Calvin Ramey, age 80, of Eddyville, Ky

EDDYVILLE, Ky. - Calvin Ramey, age 80, of Eddyville, Ky passed away Sunday, October 13 at Baptist Health in Paducah following a long illness. He was retired as Lyon County Elementary School Principal where he served for 20 years and was also Owner/Operator of Ramey Campground for more than 37 Years. He was a member and Deacon at Kuttawa First Baptist Church. He graduated from Murray State University with BS, MS and 30 hours above a Masters and was in the US Army ROTC class of 1954.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Hall Ramey, Eddyville, KY; one son Randell Ramey & wife, Covetta, Eddyvillle, KY; 2 step sons, Jerry Hall & wife, Tammy, Wingo, KY; and Terry Hall, Eddyville, KY; five grandchildren, Kyle Ramey & wife, Elizabeth, Darren Ramey, Tanner Hall, Tyler Hall and Sarah Hall; two great grandchildren, Lana Grace Ramey and Sarah Beth Ramey; one brother, James Ramey and wife, Pauline, Eddyville, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ramey was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Rushing Ramey, one brother, Byron Ramey and two sisters, Dollie Cannon and Eloda Crumbaugh.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16 from 4 to 8 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 17 at 2:30 at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Macadonia Cemetery.
