Thomas Hayes Bryant, 83

orangesunsetLEXINGTON, Ky. - Thomas Hayes Bryant, 83, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 22, 1930 to the late Dr. Earl and Sylvia Bryant in Tompkinsville, Ky. Tom graduated from the University of Louisville and was an active member in the L. Club. He was also a manager of the University of Louisville basketball team. Tom was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a southern division sales manager for the Stroh Brewing Company, where he worked for 25 years.

Tom cherished his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Burnett Bryant, and his eight children, Deborah Thomas (Richard), Richard Bryant (Carol), Beth Muncy (Bobby), Monica Hinkel (John), Karen Doss (Jeff), Alicia Rider (Steve), Kyle Bryant, and Kevin Bryant. Serving as pallbearers will be his ten grandsons, Eric Bryant, Jacob Doss, Hunter Bryant, Tyler Hinkel, Tanner Doss, Thomas Hinkel, Trey Muncy, Jason Rider, Ross Muncy, and Ben Rider. Honorary pallbearers will be his five granddaughters, Lindsey Clickner, Ellen Reed, Laura Beth Rider, Sara McKenzie Doss, and Olivia Bryant; and three great grandchildren, Jack and Charlie Clickner and Lily Bryant.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm Thurs. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road. A funeral mass will be held 11 am Fri. at The Cathedral of Christ the King. 299 Colony Blvd., Lexington, KY 40502. In addition, a visitation will be held 10 – 10:45 am Friday at Hehman Hall at the church.

A graveside service will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. A special thanks to Dr. David Blake and the team from Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass and the Catholic Action Center. Condolences may be sent to Legacy.com.
