Norma Jean 'Sis' Kiser, 75

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Norma Jean 'Sis' Kiser, 75, wife of Joseph W. Kiser, passed away Sat., Oct 26, 2013 at her home of 48 years. A native of Lexington, she was born on June 30, 1938 to the late Robert and Myrtle Taylor. She worked at IBM from 1958 – 1961 and was a part owner and office manager at Fayette Electrical Services from 1980 – 1994. She attended Clays Mill Baptist Church and was a beloved church member at Boones Creek Baptist Church, where she touched many lives through her Sunday school teaching, Girls in Action leadership, Bible School snack lady and church bus driver services. Norma enjoyed traveling, cooking, hiking, and taking care of her family. Her laughter, quick wit, and contagious smile along with her huge heart will be missed by all that had the great pleasure of knowing her. We feel so blessed to have had her in our life during her 75 years.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by three children, Jeff Kiser of Lexington, Jan (Ren) Bates, and Jennifer Kiser-Biahomba, both of Nicholasville; eight grandchildren, Jason Kiser, Brandon (Nikki) Kiser, Taylor Kiser, Heston Bates, Tanner Bates, Nathan Biahomba, Joseph Biahomba, Kaitlyn Robinson; and three great grandchildren Nathan Biahomba Jr., Brian and Cole Kiser; two brothers, Bobby and Lewis Taylor; two sisters, Henrietta Black and Kathy Williams.

She is also preceded in death by a brother George Taylor.

Funeral services will be Wed. 2:30 pm at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Charles Dickson and Pastor Jeff Fugate. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will both Monday and Tues 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be made to Boones Creek Baptist Church, 185 N Cleveland Rd, Lexington, KY 40509.
