Barry Rankin Honican, 62

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Barry Rankin Honican, 62, wife of Richard Lee Honican, Jr., passed away Sun. Nov. 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born May 7, 1951 in Lexington, Ky, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Molly Shannon Rankin. Mrs. Honican was a graduate of Woodford County High School and Ky Business College.

Survivors other than her husband include a daughter, Jennifer (John) Gentry; a son, Richard (Jessica) Honican III, both of Versailles, Ky; one granddaughter, Harper Gentry; one brother, Thomas A. (Cindy) Rankin, Jr., Versailles, Ky; sister-in-law, Sissy Rankin, Versailles, Ky; two nephews, T.A. (Sarah) Rankin, and Richie Hubbard; niece, Lindsey Rankin; great-nephew, Brody Rankin; and great-niece, Lexy Jackson.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Fri. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Ernie Sacra. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thurs. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Frankfort, 208 Steele St., Frankfort, Ky 40601 or the American Cancer Society, 1504 College Way, Lexington, Ky 40502.
