J.B. Moss 92, a native of Paducah, Ky

obit11PADUCAH, Ky. - J.B. Moss 92, a native of Paducah, Ky passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 9:40 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital. J.B. was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for sixty-seven years, where he served as a deacon for many years, and a member of the building committee through many church building projects. He was a 1939 graduate of Tilghman High School, former owner of General Radio and Television. He was a veteran of World War II serving in U.S. Army Air Corps and was overseas for two years. J.B. was a member of Masonic Lodge #127, a University of KY Basketball fan and enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. J.B. was a member and played golf at Paducah Country Club, Paxton Park and Rolling Hills Country Club where he held 3 holes-in-one as a golfer.

Surviving are his wife of seventy years, Freida Ford Moss, three daughters, Nancy Wilkins and husband David of Paducah, and Brenda Moss Jones and Bonnie Moss both of Paducah, KY; three grandchildren, John David Wilkins and wife Theresa, Ryan Doom and Ashley Doom; four great-grandchildren, Shannon Wilkins, Jacob Wilkins, Sarah Kate Wilkins and Owen DeVinney.

Preceding in death were his parents, John Bonds Moss Sr. & Nina Moss.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Gina Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with military rites. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 after 5:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
