Elwanda S. Greer, 83, of Boaz, KY

obit11PADUCAH, Ky. - Elwanda S. Greer, 83, of Boaz, KY passed away at 3:10 p.m. Saturday at Baptist Health of Paducah. She was born in Water Valley, KY. Elwanda was the owner and operator of Wanda’s School of Driving in Oak Park, IL and also worked at the Henry I. Seigel Factory in South Fulton, TN.

She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Greer of Boaz, KY and Rose Sullivan and husband Terry of Boaz, KY; sister, Martha Allen of Water Valley, KY; brother, James Russell Stephens of Flint, MI; grandsons, Terry Lee Sullivan, Jr. and wife Amy of Boaz, KY and Lee Sullivan and wife Erica of Boaz, KY; great grandchildren, Ben Hopper, Ashley Marie Sullivan, Abigail Erin Sullivan Leah Michele Sullivan and several nieces and nephews.

Elwanda was preceded in death by a son, William David Greer, Jr.; great grandson, Jonah Lee Sullivan; brother, Melvin Porter Stephens, Jr.. Her parents were Melvin Porter Stephens and Mary Austin Stephens Richmond.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Heart Association, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222 or to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 9067 Louisville, KY 40233.
