Leona Ezell Reid, 88

PADUCAH, Ky - Leona Ezell Reid, 88, of Paducah, KY passed away at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Lourdes Hospital. She was born in Trigg County, KY. Leona was a member of the Oaks Church of God. Her Life centered around her family especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was affectionately known as 'Granny' or 'GG'.

Leona is survived by her daughters, Sue Staples Langdon and husband Lee of Symsonia, KY and Mary Jane McLeod of Benton, KY; grandchildren, John M. Staples and wife Jeanna of Sharpe, KY and Amy Barrett and husband Randy of Benton, KY; great grandchildren, Bailey and Morgan Barrett of Benton, KY, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Alexander Staples of Sharpe, KY; sister-in-laws, Ella Dotson and Josephine Perry both of Benton, KY, Beaulah Reid of Symsonia, KY; brother-in-law, Ray Perry of Benton, KY and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Reid; daughters, Treshia Ann Reid and Jerry Ann Reid; son, William W. Reid; great grandson, Travis Harlin Staples; son-in-law, Troy McLeod; sister, Lorene Stallons; sister-in-laws, Gwen Hancock; brothers, Claude Ezell and Carter Ezell; brother-in-laws, Paul Dotson, Charles Reid. Her parents were Willie L. Ezell and Amy Victoria Hargrove Ezell.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Carters Mill Cemetery in Symsonia, KY.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
