Josephine Childers, 88 of Paducah, Ky

PADUCAH, Ky. - Josephine Childers, 88 of Paducah, Ky passed away at 4:35AM Friday, November 1, 2013 at Baptist Health in Paducah.

She was a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church, Seniors Citizens Center, the Genealogical Historical Society, United Daughters of Confederacy, Daughters of American Revolution, Paducah Woman’s Club, Book of the month club; she was a former member Matinee Music Club, Red Hat Society & Martha’s Circle at Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church. She formerly worked in the office for the International Shoe Company.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Foy of Louisville, KY; her son, James (Carrie) Childers of Paducah; four grandchildren, Kristin Childers of Paducah, Kyle Childers of Covington, KY, Matthew (Jennifer) Foy of Louisville, KY and David (Keri) Foy of Louisville, KY; four great-grandchildren, Annabelle Foy, Josephine Foy, Olivia Foy and Miles Foy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar (Bud) Clinton Childers and her brother, James Lynn Beadles. Her parents were James Lynn & Berdie Ballowe Beadles.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Gregory Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah. Friends may call from 2:00-5:00PM on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
