Jerry Lee Gibbs, 66, of Paducah, Ky

PADUCAH, Ky. - Jerry Lee Gibbs, 66, of Paducah, Ky passed away at 4:35PM Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Baptist Health in Paducah.

Mr. Gibbs was a retired field technician for Whayne Supply Co. and a US Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Andrews Gibbs of Paducah; one son, Gary Lee (Kari) Gibbs of South Haven, MS; two daughters, Tammy (Johnny) Compton of Paducah and Cindy (Joe) Brannon of Paducah; one sister, Wanda Hofer of Paducah; eight grandchildren, Kortney Purdiman, Kayla Gibbs, Kassidi Gibbs, Dakota Shugars, Chase Brannon, Nick Shepler, Kamyn Childers and Amanda Cherry; three great-grandchildren, Kadence Gibbs, Kamden Purdiman and Karmen Gibbs along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Gibbs; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Hearrod Cheever; his step-father, Clarence Cheever; one sister, Louise Gatewood and three brothers, Charles Gibbs, Grey Gibbs and Bud Gibbs.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Randy Bridges and Tony Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00PM Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
