Donald Ray 'Bugsy' Evans, Jr., 45, Metropolis, IL

PADUCAH, Ky. - Donald Ray 'Bugsy' Evans, Jr., 45, Metropolis, IL, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, 11:13 am, at his residence.

Donald was a member of Mt. Horeb Church in Metropolis where he served as Usher and played the bongos in the church band. He was formerly employed at both Sonic and Hardees. Donald was a graduate of Massac County High School. He was a member of the Men’s Bowling League and Pacesetter’s Bowling League.

Donald is survived by his parents, Donald Evans, Sr. and Mary Akins Hansen, both of Metropolis; one Brother, Timothy Whaley of Dothan, AL; five sisters, Eartha Davison of Paducah, Liz Carruthers and Felicia Bray Johnson, both of Metropolis, Shamara Kizer of Kenasaw, GA, and Heather Cofield of Cedar Rapids, IA; his Grandmother, Mary Thomas of Lexington, Ky; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Leo Hansen, his grandparents, Opal Morris and Kenneth Thomas.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 12:00 Noon, at Mt. Horeb Church in Metropolis, IL with Reverend Joseph Benberry officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery of Metropolis.

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
