Cecil Jarvis Jr., 75, of Browder

3sunsetMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. - Cecil Jarvis Jr., 75, of Browder, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at 9:00PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Jarvis was born December 19, 1937 in Muhlenberg County. He was a coal miner with Caney Creek Mines, and was a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed small engine repair, fishing, UK basketball, and outdoor sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Beatrice Jarvis; and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Jarvis; daughters Kim (Darrell) Locke of Greenville and Peggie (Rodney) Kimmel of Dunmor; son Curtis Jarvis; grandchildren Chad (Emily) Jarvis, Chasity Jarvis, Clay Kimmel, and Tyler Locke; great-grandchildren Jay, Jacie, Alyssa, Andrew, and Jaxon; brother William "Bill" (Judy) Jarvis; and sister Nyla Drake.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:00AM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Rev. E.W. Greenwalt officiating. Burial in Forest Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfunerahomes.com.
