MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. - Lola Belle Epley, 86, of Greenville, Ky died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Kindred Maple Manor. Mrs. Epley was born July 22, 1927 in Luzerne to the late Shellie and Annie Pentecost Fulkerson. She was a graduate of the first LPN class at Muhlenberg Community Hospital where she was employed for 25 years. She was a nurse for Dr. Wiggington, Dr. Boggess, and Dr. Givens. She then went into private duty nursing until she retired. She was also a member of Carter Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Epley; brothers, John, Bob, Howard, and Lawerance Fulkerson; a sister Mary Westerman.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Bennett) Pendley of Greenville and Donna (Larry) Webb of Benton, KY; son Gary (Melody) Epley of Central City; sister Joan (Jim) Sharrett of Middleton, OH; grandchildren Benny Pendley and Michael Pendley of Greenville, Mark Pendley of Brentwood, TN, Dr. Jason Pendley of Owensboro, Robbie Webb of Lone Oak, KY, Jennifer Utley of Benton, KY, Chad Webb of Gilbertsville, KY, Cherrie Wood of Evansville, Adam Epley of Bowling Green, Justin Epley of Drakesboro; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Tommy Wilhite officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Powderly. Visitation will be Saturday at 10:00AM. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
