MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. — Marilyn Sue Parker, 65, passed away at her residence on Saturday, June 28. Owner of Parker and Co., a Warrenton, Va. hair design studio, she was born in Greenville, Ky. on December 9, 1948.

Marilyn received a cosmetology license after graduating from high school in Mt. Morris, Mich. She practiced as a hairdresser for 45 years and worked in Warrenton, Va. for the past twenty years. She was a friend to many and cared deeply about animals. Marilyn loved volunteering at the Fauquier SPCA. She was also a member of Warrenton United Methodist Church. Marilyn was known for her kindness and generosity to many people. She enjoyed her time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Alice Warren Parker of Greenville, Ky. and Richard Lloyd Blackwell of Warrenton, Va.

Survivors include a sister, Diane Blackwell of Warrenton, Va.; a nephew, Richard Lloyd Blackwell, Jr.; and her nieces, Katherine Anne Blackwell and Kristen Blackwell (Edward) Graham. Other family members include Grant Vance, Jr., Alexa and Grace Graham all of Warrenton, Va. She regarded her sister's family as her own and will be deeply missed by all of them. Marilyn is also survived by her Aunt Anna Lee Warren and many cousins in Greenville, Ky.

Memorial services and Internment will be on Friday, July 4, at 11:00 at Pleasant Hill Church in Greenville, Ky. Her cousin, Ben Van Hooser will preside. Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky. are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fauquier SPCA, P. O. Box 733, Warrenton, Va. 20188.
