BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Charles Wesley Cook, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 16, 2013.
Charles was a Senior Chief in the United States Navy and retired after 26 years of service. He was also the former owner of Countertops and More.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Linda Waterhouse Cook; two sons: Charles Wesley Cook, Jr. and David Cook (Allison Chambers); granddaughter: Reagan Cook (Renita Phelps, her mother); godchildren: John Waterhouse, Dr. Kim Waterhouse Trankler, and Beth Waterhouse; foster son: Braden Uriah Stamper. He is also survived by three brothers: six sisters, two brother-in-laws, two sister-in-laws, and their spouses.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents: Charles Samuel Cook and Susie Viola Cook; stepmother: Mildred Christine Cook; also preceded by Marion Sylvester Waterhouse, Edith Locke Waterhouse, William Earl Terry, and Ruth Roby Terry.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
