BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Chester Lee Beam, 88, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at 6:05 a.m. at Greenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Chester was born October 31, 1924 in Allen County, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years: Willene R. Weaver Beam; his parents: James and Hautie Mae Beam; three brothers: Edgar Vin Beam, James Lennis Beam, and Nobal Buell Beam; two sisters: Rhee Johnson and Eula Mae Ogles.
Chester was retired from Fruit of the Loom as Director of Maintenance and a member of Big Springs Baptist Church in Allen County. He was a veteran of U. S. Navy and a member of the Bowling Green Masonic Lodge #73 F. & A. M. His hobbies included fishing and taking care of his yard and house.
Survivors include one sister-in-law: Radine Beam of Bowling Green, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday September 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery #2.
