BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Robert O. 'Bob' Lovelady, 75, passed away at his home September 28, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
Bob was born on May 13, 1938 in Bowling Green, Kentucky and was the son of the late Fred Lovelady and Estelle May Lytle. He was also preceded in death by his daughter: Kelly Lovelady and a brother: Jimmy Lovelady. He was a United Methodist and retired in 2004 from the Diamond Equipment Company, Inc. after almost 40 years of service. Bob was a very devoted and true Kentucky Wildcat Fan. He Bled Blue.
Bob is survived by his wife: Betty; a son: Michael Lovelady (Debbie) of South Fulton, Tennessee: two daughters: Leah Lockhart (Tim) and Loni Stacker (Scott) both of Bowling Green; a sister: Juanita Lawing; and a brother: Bill Lovelady (Anna) of Sahuarita, Arizona. He leaves five beloved grandchildren: Brandon Scott, Kaitlin Nicole, and Joseph Wesley Stacker, Robert Julian Lamkin, and John Paul Robert Lockhart all of Bowling Green; a special 'brother': Jim Faulkner.
Bob requested to be cremated. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 1 at the J. C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday before the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel.
