BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Charles R. 'Sonny ' Manley, 77, of Bowling Green, Ky passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Eric Terrell Manley and Elsie Manley Meador. Charles was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a member of The American Legion Post 23 and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was also a former president for several chambers of commerce, the owner of Business Development Concepts, Inc., and also served as a bus monitor for Warren County Schools.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Betty Sidebottom Manley of Bowling Green; two sons: Kevin Manley and wife Yvette of Mobile, Alabama and Stephen K. Manley of Bowling Green; two daughters: Kelly Lynne Landry and husband Kevin of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Stephanie Karen Rhodes and husband Tony of Prairieville, Louisiana; a sister: Dolly Marie Schneider of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren: Jaclyn Jadwin, Nicholas Landry, Christopher Landry, Patrick Landry, Jamie Manley, Samantha Manley, Zoie Rhodes, and Zane Rhodes and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother: Eric 'Bud ' Manley and a sister: Sue Manley.
Visitation is Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bowling Green Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
