UPDATE: TRAFFIC ALERT - WK Parkway Closed from Muhlenberg to Ohio County

tractor trailer 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (2/25/13) -As of 6:30 the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that the accident has been cleared and Western Kentucky Parkway is now open to traffic.

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (2/25/13) – The Kentucky Department of Transportation has announced a major closure on WK Parkway due to an accident.

According to Keith Todd, spokesperson for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, as of 1:59 PMWK Parkway has been closed from the Central City exit all the way to the first Ohio County exit. The closure is due to a traffic accident involving a semi-tractor trailer wreck.

As of this time, no further details have been released. SurfKY News will keep you posted as new details are released.
