1flowerWEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. - S. D. (Pete) Mooney 89, of Dixon, KY passed away at his home on Thursday June 6, 2013. He was a Lifelong Farmer and member of Free Union General Baptist Church in Dixon. He was a US Navy Veteran having served as a Naval CB during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post #5484 in Providence, KY.

He was the son of the late Lloyd and Emma Mooney.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ruth Brogan Mooney and a brother L.C. Mooney. Survivors include his companion Patsy Clark of Dixon, KY; 2 daughters Renea Brown and her husband Rodney of Dixon, KY; Sharon Mooney Clark of Lisman, KY; 2 sons David Mooney and his Fiance Carolyn Swihart of Madisonville, KY; Perry Mooney and his wife Carla of Dixon, KY; 1 sister D. Faye Price of Indianapolis, IN; 9 grandchildren Ryan Clark, Joshua D. Mooney, Tara Snyder, Blake Mooney, Paige Mooney, Justin Mooney, Koty R. Mooney, Ashton M. Brummett and Jake McCandless; 5 great grandchildren Noah B. Clark, Logan Mooney, Camden Mooney, Cylus Mooney and Cali D. Thomas and 1 niece, extended family Dwayne McCandless and his wife Tina of Clay, KY.

Services will be held on Sunday June 9, 2013 at 2PM at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Johnny Hibbs and Bro. Hollis Marshall will officiate. Entombment will be in Oddfellows Mausoleum in Clay, KY.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Saturday at the funeral home and from 8am until service time at the funeral home on Sunday. Military services will be conducted graveside at the Cemetery by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
