Weather Pushes Last Day of School Ahead Again

muhl school board 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (3/6/14) — With so many snow days piled up this week, it has been hard to keep up with the last day of school.

Assuming this is the last of the bad weather system in the area, June 6 is now the last scheduled day of the 2013-2014 school year, according to Ed McCarraher, the Muhlenberg County School System's Director of Pupil Personnel.

The last day for teachers will be either Saturday, June 7, or Monday June 10, according to McCarraher.

"Some teachers prefer to get their hours in on the weekend, and others do not," McCarraher said.

Students will return to class tomorrow, Friday, March 7, according to McCarraher.

Students had four days off due to the massive ice and snow storm that paralyzed much of Kentucky this week.
