Nancy 'Carol' Liford, 57

nancy lifordSEBREE, Ky. – Nancy “Carol” Liford, age 57, went to be with The Lord on August 12, 2014 in her home in Henderson, Ky. under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice with her sister, Pam, and brother-in-law Eddie by her side. Her constant companion and pet, “Nevaeh” was also by her side.

Nancy was the daughter of John and Winifred Liford, born April 9, 1957, in Pineville, Ky. She was the second of four children. Raised in St. Louis, Mo., she attended Ackerman School as a child. Carol was a spirited, kind person who never lost her joy for the simple things in life. Carol regularly enjoyed coloring, watching Scooby Doo, singing along with Loretta Lynn, playing with Legos, and being a friend to any and everybody who came to visit or happen to run into her. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church, and loved Jesus with all her heart. Her special hugs and warm smile will be missed.

She is survived by her sister Pam (Eddie Berry) and husband Eddie of Henderson, Ky.; brothers, Timothy Paul Liford of Henderson, Ky. and Steve (Diane) Liford of Troy, Mo.; nephews, Clinton Berry and Mitchell Berry; and several other nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 16, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Eddie Berry and Clinton Berry will officiate. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, Ky. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Saturday 12:00 until service time at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Pam Berry, Eddie Berry, Clinton Berry, Mitchell Berry, Steve Liford, Tim Liford and Sherry Hagan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Helen Ritterskamp, Minnie Chaney and Chris Clark.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
