baseball-surfkyHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (7/30/14) — The Hoptown Hustle 9U baseball team, a travel squad, won the West Kentucky Invitational Baseball Tournament in Murray over the weekend.

Hoptown defeated a pair of opponents to win the three-team tournament Sunday.

In its opening game in the West Kentucky Invitational Baseball Tournament, the Hoptown Hustle defeated the Paducah Titans 7-3.

Ben Stone tossed a no-hitter and registered five strikeouts as the Hustle handled the Paducah club.

Hoptown topped the Murray All-Stars 21-4 in the championship game.

Jay Humphries and Kadin Ray combined to pitch a no-hitter for Hoptown in the title tilt.

Multiple Hoptown players contributed at the plate throughout the tournament. During the tourney, Humphries delivered a total of six hits.

Ray followed, adding two singles and a double for the Hustle. Another Hoptown batter, Aiden Moore, also chipped in with three hits.

Stone (triple, double) and Kaden West (double, single) accounted for two hits apiece for Hoptown en route to the unit claiming the tournament championship.
