football hand 300OWENSBORO, Ky (10/9/13) – Owensboro Catholic made the long trip to take on Todd County and the Aces showed up to play. Anytime players sit through school all day and then get on a bus to ride for a couple of hours, there is fear the players will be sluggish. Not this week however, as Catholic controlled the Rebels 37 – 0 and improved to 2 – 0 in their district 4 – 2 overall.

Head Coach John Edge for Aces was proud both of how his defense played better and of how the receivers came through. OC was able to rack up over 130 rushing yards on the ground.

“Our receivers really stepped up to help out running game and our defense played great to give up good field position,” Coach Edge said.

He pointed out that they are getting players back from injury, but believes the team still has room to improve.

This week the Aces will travel to Hancock to take on the rival Hornets.
