Panthers Prepared to Face Colonels

football helmet_300OWENSBORO, Ky (10/10/13) – Daviess County had the biggest win in recent history last week against Warren Central. Now they have to completely forget about that win as they move on to battle the Colonels from Henderson. Daviess County is 4 – 2 and is playing the best football in Owensboro. Henderson is 5 – 1 and has won 2 straight games.

Daviess County Head Football Coach Marcus Kimbrell is obviously very proud of his players after the win.

"We have gotten better every week and the kids are playing with a lot of confidence," he said.

With that confidence the Panthers have to continue to execute at a high level. Kimbrell said he is quite impressed with the Colonels defense.

"They get to the ball very well and play just as good defense as South Warren," he said of the Colonels.

Daviess County will have to be ready for the high octane offence Henderson presents. Last week the Panthers were able to make three goal-line stands to stop South Warren from scoring. Now DC must contain both the run and pass game if they are going to continue to win.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. in Henderson.
