Red Devils Regroup After Tough Loss, Host Calloway County on Friday

football surfky_300OWENSBORO, Ky (10/10/13) – The Red Devils lost a tough game last week against Warren Central. Owensboro must return to being the most physical team on the field if they are going to beat Calloway County Friday night. The Red Devils are 5 – 2 and are 1 – 0 in their district. The Calloway County Lakers are 4 – 2 and are also 1 – 0 in their district.

Owensboro's Head Coach Joe Prince is excited about this game because of the Red Devils great week of practice.

"We were 'fat cat', but have regained our work ethic and we have come back to earth," Prince said last week. He also pointed out that Owensboro came out flat last week which gave Warren Central early momentum.

The main key this week for the Devils is to be more physical and force turnovers. He pointed to OHS's size and said his players have to be the most physical team if they are going to win. Owensboro will have to prepare for the both the run game and pass game. Prince said "Calloway County is still searching for their identity."

The game will take place in Owensboro at 7 p.m.
