OWENSBORO, Ky. (10/24/13) - The last couple of weeks have not gone to plan for Panther's head coach, Marcus Kimbrell. Two weeks ago, they played Henderson County and were strong in the first half, then DC fell behind in the third quarter and could-n't catch up.
Last week, McCracken County used their size advantage to beat Daviess County 49 - 12. This week, the Panthers will travel to Marshall County to take on the 1 - 7 Marshals.
The Marshals have lost every game this year by an average of 29 points. This week, DC will have the opportunity to work out some mistakes from the last couple of games.
Coach Kimbrell for the Panthers told SurfKY News, "I feel like we're a better team than Marshall County, but we have to match their intensity."
The Panthers are sitting at 4 - 4 on the year. With 1 - 7 Marshall County and 2 - 6 Ohio County left on their schedule, DC looks to gain some momentum heading into the playoffs in three weeks.
The game will kick-off in Marshall County at 7 p.m.
