DIXON, Ky. (7/16/14) — The Webster County High School baseball program will be under the direction of a new head coach during the 2015 season.
After just one season as Webster County head coach, Zack Traylor has resigned.
The young Traylor, a 2008 Webster County High School graduate who graduated from Murray State University in 2013, has accepted a teaching position in Paris, Tenn..
Webster County will be under the guidance of its third head coach in as many years. Traylor's reign at the top of the Webster County baseball program was a short one. He took over for Tom Blumette as the Webster County head coach in January.
In Traylor's lone season in the Trojans' dugout, Webster County compiled a 9-22 record. Union County ended Webster County's 2013 campaign, defeating the Trojans 9-2 in the opening round of the 6th District Tournament.
Traylor's high school playing career included five years as a starter for the Trojans. He also played football at Webster County High School.
